The chin tie keeps it snug without any fuss, and the stretch fits over my son’s head even as he’s growing. It fully covers his ears on chilly walks, so I don’t have to wrestle with a separate hat.
The ribbed knit is genuinely soft, not scratchy like some cotton hats I've tried on my son. It stretches just enough to slip on easily but stays snug over his ears, and the chin tie keeps it in place during car rides. He's worn it every day this week.
The chin-tie is the reason I picked this over other bonnets, and it keeps it in place even during naps. The light stretch makes it easy to slip on a squirmy 4-month-old, and the fully covered ears give me peace of mind on chilly walks.
